What are immediate dentures?
If you're in need of full dentures because you've lost your teeth due to decay, illness, or injury, you could be a perfect candidate for immediate dentures. Immediate dentures mean you never have to be without teeth. Keep in mind, however, that your mouth will need time to heal from the loss of your natural teeth and the immediate denture inserts. Your dentures will need to be relined to ensure your denture fit stays precise and comfortable.
Are partial dentures the right choice for me?
Partial dentures with a metal framework are the most common type of partials. If you're a suitable candidate, The strong metal framework offers support so that you can bite and eat like normal, even if you're missing molars. No dental adhesives are required. The metal frame anchors to existing natural teeth to keep the dentures in place.
A more cost-effective alternative is acrylic partial dentures. They tend to be cheaper than partials with metal frames, but they also need to be replaced more often. Acrylic partials are usually a temporary solution for missing front teeth while the dentist makes permanent partials or bridges.
